哈尔滨电站设备集团公司是由国家“一五”期间前苏联援建的 156项重点建设项目中的6 项发展沿革而来。创业之初，荒烟百里，满目疮痍，历经半个多世纪艰苦卓绝的拼搏，“三大动力”声名远播，蔚为大观。现已成为我国最大的发电设备、舰船动力装置研究、制造和成套设备出口基地，位列中央管理的53 户关系国家安全和国民经济命脉的国有重要骨干企业之中。
新的发展机遇始于改革开放。集团先后引进、消化、吸收 600兆瓦亚临界、超临界、超超临界煤电三大主机；300兆瓦循环流化床锅炉；700兆瓦水电；抽水蓄能；9FA重型燃机及联合循环机组等国际尖端制造技术，历经重大装备的升级改造，技术和装备能力已达国际先进水平。日月更始，精进不休，形成开发设计和生产制造大型煤电、水电、核电、气电、电站总承包工程和舰船动力装置6大核心产品，年生产能力30000兆瓦，所属企业全部通过ISO9001质量体系认证。
持续发展的力量源于现代企业制度的建立。集团锐意探索，大胆创新，将生产经营主体企业组建成哈尔滨动力设备股份公司，于 1994年在香港上市，率先进入境外资本市场。并分离生活、后勤等系统，组建实业开发总公司。1998年实施产业化重组，完成对佳木斯电机厂兼并。1999年阿城继电器股份公司在深交所上市。
宏图大业，以人为本。集团汇集国内外一流的科研、技术、管理精英人才，拥有国内唯一的发电设备国家工程研究中心，国家级企业技术中心和博士后科研工作站，是国家高技能人才培训基地。
明珠映天地，动力壮河山。截止2007年，集团累计生产发电设备170000兆瓦，其中煤电机组占国产装机总量的三分之一，水电机组占二分之一，产品装备国内所有省区300多座电站和30余个海外电厂，纵横天下，驰名当世，滚滚动力，不竭之源。

Introduction
Harbin Power Plant Equipment Corporation (“the Group”) was developed based on six of 156 key construction projects supported by the former Soviet Union during the first Five-year Plan period. Through hard work during past half century, “three power works” have become the biggest production and export base for power generation equipment, warship driving devices and complete set of power equipment and is one of 55 key state-owned enterprises which are vital to the state security and civil economy.
The new development started from the opening-up of China. The Group gradually introduced, digested and mastered the technology for 600MW sub-critical, super-critical and ultra super-critical thermal power main units; 300MW CFB boiler; 700MW hydropower unit; pumped storage units; 9FA heavy-duty gas turbine and combined-cycle units; 1000MW ultra super-critical units. Through upgrading of manufacturing facilities, the technology and the facilities of the Group now reach internationally advanced level. At present, the annual production capability of the Group is 30000MW with large thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power, gas turbine, EPC projects and warship driving devices as six core products. All subsidiaries under the Group were awarded with ISO 9001 certificates.
The sustainable development relies on the establishment of modern enterprise system. In 1994, Harbin Power Equipment Co., Ltd. was listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which was restructured through the Group’s main production and operation entities. The Group also separated social commUnity business from main business and set up industrial development companies. In 1998, industrialization reorganization was completed and the Group took over Jiamusi Motor Factory. In 1999, Achen Relay Company was listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
The Group always puts people first. There are plenty of R&D, technical and management talents working for the Group. The only national engineering research center in power equipment business was set up here and the Group has a state class technology center and post-doctorate R&D workstation.
