About NEWI
NEWI can trace its origins back to 1887 when the first post compulsory education was established in Wrexham. Today, as a full member of the University of Wales, the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education is rapidly developing into the major provider of university education in north Wales.
NEWI is a student centred organisation providing high quality teaching and research and it is very proud of its strong links with local and international communities. Courses are designed and continually adapted to meet the needs of students, employers and the commUnity in order to provide students with the skills and qualifications they need to succeed.
